Nevada County, CA Strikes Gold Again – Selecting RIMS to Replace Aging Public Safety Technology

Sun Ridge Systems, Inc. is proud to announce that Nevada County, California is coming to RIMS — and in true Nevada County fashion, they’re not doing anything small. Nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills northeast of Sacramento and home to just over 100,000 residents, Nevada County will soon have all five of its local law enforcement agencies unified on a single, powerful platform.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Police Department, Grass Valley Police Department, and Nevada City Police Department have all selected Sun Ridge RIMS to replace their current EIS platform. That’s countywide coverage — from the ski slopes of Truckee to the historic streets of Nevada City — all connected, all on RIMS.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office will deploy one of the most robust product suites in the Sun Ridge portfolio, including: CAD, RMS, Mobiles/Mobile Mapping, iRIMS Law, In-Station Mapping, Prop Room, Citizen RIMS, InCustody, E911, CLETS, RIMS2Txt, RIMS Collaborate, TIMS, AFIS to IDemia, AXON Link, CorEMR Inmate Medical Link, Flock Vehicle Alert, Aramark Commissary Link, Telemate GTL Link, Peregrine Link, and the IC to Bi-Directional Guardian RFID Link.

That’s not just a product list — that’s a fully connected public safety and correctional services ecosystem.

The project also includes data conversion of both RMS and JMS records into RIMS — no file left unturned. When Nevada County goes live, they’ll hit the ground running with decades of institutional knowledge intact and ready to work in their new system.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for Sun Ridge Systems: Nevada County becomes our 243rd California agency and, with the Sheriff’s Office leading the way, our 22nd county sheriff’s office in the state.

Truckee, California Police Department

Sun Ridge Systems has been selected to deploy a full public safety technology suite, uniting Truckee PD and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office in a powerful multi-agency RIMS collaboration.

The Truckee Police Department is preparing to go live on the Sun Ridge RIMS platform.  The department is in the pipeline for one of the most comprehensive public safety technology deployments in the region, bringing together a powerful lineup of fully integrated solutions designed to keep officers connected, informed, and mission-ready.

The upcoming deployment includes: CAD, RMS, Mobiles/Mobile Mapping, iRIMS Law, In-Station Mapping, Citizen RIMS, Collaborate, TIMS, E911, CLETS, RIMS2Txt, Karpel Link, Axon BWC Link, DataTicket eCite Link, SWITRS, FileonQ Link, and Flock Alerting Link.  A fully connected public safety ecosystem that includes conversion from EIS RMS, migrating their existing data seamlessly into the RIMS platform.

Old system?  On its way out.  New state-of-the-art public safety platform? On the horizon.  Mountain air?  Still crisp.

Perhaps most noteworthy is the multi-agency configuration that will link Truckee PD with the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office as the host agency.  The two agencies will share data, resources, and situational awareness in real time — making the mountains a little safer for everyone who calls them home!

Sun Ridge Systems, Inc. looks forward to welcoming Truckee PD into the RIMS family and supporting their team every step of the way through implementation, training, and beyond.  Stay tuned — good things are coming to the Sierras.

Big news out of Tehama County, CA!

The Tehama County District Attorney’s Office has taken a major step forward by transitioning from a homegrown file system to RIMS RMS and Property Room—a move that strengthens efficiency, visibility, and collaboration.

This strategic investment enables seamless collaboration with neighboring RIMS agencies, including the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, the Red Bluff Police Department, and the Corning Police Department. It also extends regional connectivity to agencies across Butte, Plumas, and Mendocino counties—enhancing information sharing where it matters most.

Beyond local impact, Tehama joins a growing network of forward-thinking District Attorney’s Offices statewide, collaborating with peers in Marin, San Mateo, Solano, Modoc, and Amador counties.

We’re proud to welcome Tehama County DA as our 241st California agency—another milestone in building a reliable, integrated public safety platform.

Welcome to the RIMS family!

Sun Ridge Systems Adds Another Idaho County to RIMS Family

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, St. Anthony Police Department, and Ashton Police Department have selected RIMS to replace their existing ARTS (Harris) CAD/RMS/JMS applications, used on a multi-agency platform.

Located in central-eastern Idaho, these Fremont County agencies serve over 13,000 residents and cover 1,896 square miles during their beat.  An interesting fact about Fremont County is that it serves as part of the boundary, and a portion of Yellowstone National Park extends into the County.

St. Anthony PD has some notable officers as well.  “CHiPs” highway patrolman Erik Estrada, whose focus is on preventing children from becoming prey to online sexual predators.  Actor Dean Cain, of the famed “Lois and Clark,” also joined the agency to help combat crime and increase community safety.

The three agencies will use RIMS CAD, RMS, Mobile RIMS, Mapping, iRIMS LE, InCustody Jail Management software, e911, NCIC/State CJIS integration, and RIMS2Text paging.

These agencies join the Butte County Sheriff’s Office as Idaho RIMS agencies and are now part of our growing RIMS Family!  Welcome!
