    Around

Getting around is easy and the drive to Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful!!!

From Reno the drive is about 90 minutes and Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar Rent A Car, Enterprise, National, Payless Car Rental, and Thrifty provide car rentals.

There are also paid shuttle services provided by Airport Mini Bus, North Lake Tahoe Express, and South Tahoe Airporter.

Sacramento Airport provides rental car companies and those can be found here.

Taxi and Uber/Lyft services are available as well.

The two main airports near Lake Tahoe are Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA.  

Reno is about a 1 hour 15 minutes drive to South Lake Tahoe.  Alaska, American, Delta, Southwest, and United Airlines provide service to the airport.

Sacramento is about a 2 hour drive and the airport is served by American, Air Canada, Alaska, Boutique Air, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Horizon, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, and United Airlines.

TRAINING COURSES

We were excited to expand and offer even more courses this year!!!  58 COURSES were offered encompassing multiple tracks that include Administration, Computer Aided Dispatch, Fire/EMS, Information Technology, Jail, Field Applications, Property Management, and Records.  Over 100 hours of training was provided to over 200 attendees during the two-day training event. 

MAIN CONFERENCE

323 attendees from131 agencies attended the main RIMS conference.  The conference was packed full of informative topics including cyber-security, case studies, disaster preparedness, and of course, our famous ice cream social!
